CS2 Viewmodel Guide
Your viewmodel is how your weapon sits on screen. Here's what every command does and where to set it.
The commands
viewmodel_fov— field of view of the weapon (54–68). Higher pulls the gun lower and out of the way; 68 is the most common pro value.viewmodel_offset_x— left/right position (−2 to 2.5). Positive moves the gun right.viewmodel_offset_y— forward/back (−2 to 2). Positive pushes it forward.viewmodel_offset_z— up/down (−2 to 2). Negative lowers the gun.viewmodel_presetpos— quick presets: 1 (desktop), 2 (couch), 3 (classic).cl_righthand— 1 for right hand, 0 for left.
A good default
A clean, out-of-the-way viewmodel most players get on with:
viewmodel_fov | 68 |
viewmodel_offset_x | 2.5 |
viewmodel_offset_y | 2 |
viewmodel_offset_z | -1.5 |
Set it in one click
Drag the viewmodel sliders in the autoexec builder, see the values, and copy them straight into your config.
